Having a research mindset is crucial for making data-driven decisions, involving stakeholders and customers, and exploring product features in depth. As someone with a research background, I value these principles. However, I've also learned the benefits of adopting a 'lean startup' methodology and mindset. Finding the right balance between lean methodology and deep research is key to the success of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). In my experience, it's this balance that drives success in product development. Please find below my experience timeline wherein I had to learn this the hard way.
